Encaustic Painting Class part 2

This course consists of 2 classes that are 3 hours each. Sunday 7/24 and 7/31 from 5-8 pm. Led by local artist and instructor Laura Weiser

Encaustic is beeswax that is heated to create a textured, matte, and beautifully translucent painting medium. This ancient art is making a comeback and provides many opportunities for mixing with other media. In this class you will make one 11”x14” encaustic painting to keep and all materials are included. You will learn how to apply and fuse encaustic properly to create archival works of art and how to mix encaustic paint with drawing materials, other paints, collage, and more!
