Sunday Sit for Compassion

  • Under Aurora 923 Sullivant Ave Columbus, OH (map)

There's no denying that times have been heavy. It seems like the news is filled with tragedy after gun related tragedy. Recently, Columbus has seen its own gun violence come to a head. Every day, we hear more things from around the country and world. It can all feel like too much.

During these times, it's important not to lose sight of an important idea: we are all in this together. All of us are in this, as community, as humanity, as strangers passing on the sidewalk, as family. This can be easy to lose track of, but one way to remember is through practice.

On October 16th, join us at Under Aurora for an hour of loving-kindness meditation led by Kirsten Carroll of Equanimity Unlimited. This class is focused on building compassion both for ourselves and others. It is a small act, but one that can have real impact not only in your personal world, but the greater one as well.

This is a donation-based class and all proceeds will go to a charity determined by the group.

Please bring a pillow or blanket to sit on. There is also a limited number of chairs and a small couch to sit on.

Space is limited so please click here to register and then bring your donation to class.
